now i know what you're thinking: there's a way to properly scent your home?!

+ the answer is 100% YES!

most people (us included!) just use whichever scent they like the best in rooms they spend the most time in. makes sense, right?

but sometimes certain products perform better in certain spaces and the same goes for certain fragrances.

for example:

the living room

as much as we all love to say that we're super productive and spend our day working in our home office or whipping up something special in the kitchen, that's just not always the case.

and so the living room becomes our number one destination in the home. which can sometimes lead to it smelling a bit, well . . . lived-in.

which is why it's absolutely key to introduce scents to this space that will 1) keep things nice + fresh as well as 2) keep it cozy and ready for your relaxation time.

with that said, the top fragrance notes to use in such a universal area are:

vanilla, sandalwood, amber, + soft florals

which are perfect for allowing you to simply be without thinking “what on earth is that aroma?!”

product wise? your best bet is to opt for set-it-and-forget-it products like reed diffusers + wax melts. room sprays also make a great choice for a quick freshen-up of the space, especially if you’re expecting company + need something in a pinch!

the kitchen

from onions to last week's leftovers, it's easy for various aromas to take over.

which makes the kitchen the most deserving room of the house for some special treatment. introducing scents that are not only fresh but also odor-eliminating is the easiest way to turn this area around.

using fragrance notes like:

citrus, lemon, eucalyptus, + even coffee

will kick those pesky kitchen odors to the curb + leave you feeling like you’re in a whole new space within seconds!

as far as products go, reed diffusers and wax melts make a great option for their ability to fragrance the space with little to no effort. room sprays are also an option, but only for pre- or post-cooking so you don’t contaminate your meal!
